William Joseph “Joe” Greer of Shelbyville died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Robley Rex Veterans Center in Louisville.

He was a member of Christiansburg Baptist Church.  He had worked at Leggett and Platt for 26 years and was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and George Greer, and siblings, Jimmy Greer, Dale Greer, Kitty Lobo, George Dean Greer and son, J.B. Welch.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patsy Kendall Greer, Shelbyville; daughter, Sheri Bullock (Elmer), Shelbyville; son, Joel Greer, S.C.; daughters, Brandi Rion, Louisville; Tabita Greer, Shelbyville; grandchildren, Shane Bullock, Kristin Gray (William), Bailey Rion, Parker Rion, Madison Greenwell, Molly Greenwell, Chance Mayes, Lilly Chestnut, Laikyn Whitaker, Samuel Greer, Riley Greer, Sydney Catlett; great grandchildren, Kadence Smith, Landon Gray, Aaron Gray and Abree Catlett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Hebert officiating.  Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Tuesday, May 22nd at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Christiansburg Cemetery.
